How many licenses do I need?
How many licenses do I need?Normally just one. Only if you want to synchronize more than 2 computers, you may need more. In this case you'll need one license per installation. Please note that the Business Edition allows you to create several tasks, where each task can synchronize 2 computers.
Decision support:
You want to synchronize the computers of 5 colleagues.
Solution 1: Each colleague should decide for himself when he performs the synchronization. Furthermore you want that each colleague is asked for confirmation by the software before performing any actions. Therefore the software needs to be installed on each colleague's PC and you'll need a license for each installation.
Solution 2: The synchronization software should be installed on one central PC and used by the administrator only. The synchronization should be performed completely automatic. The colleagues should neither see nor influence nor be able to cancel it. Therefore the software only needs to be installed on one central PC (Server). Only one license is needed.
Notes:
- All confirmations (for solution 1) can be turned off.
- This answer also applies to Easy2Sync for Files.
- Only Easy2Sync for Outlook: For solution 2 Outlook must be closed during the synchronization.
